The spectacular site of the new golf course is only 5 km away from Bansko. The large and widespread area of 300 acre has been left as original as possible. Lots of trees are placed on the summits of the former Dunes to give it the best look.
The 18 hole executive length course, with undulating greens and challenging water hazards, tests the skill of even the most experienced golfer.
Following a Press Conference in Sofia, Ian Woosnam spoke about his excitement to be involved with the project. “I’ve done a few golf courses in different parts of the world,” he told the news conference, “but I have to say this is the most impressive that I’ve seen”

Banya is situated 5 km from Bansko between the three big mountains: Pirin, Rila and Rodopi. It is famous for its mineral hot springs with high therapeutic qualities. The healing effects of the thermal springs in these mountains have been famous since antiquity. There are more than 70 hot mineral water springs in Banya with average temperature of 58º C.
